You sometimes hear that
so-called "bootcamps" are a waste of money, or they only teach you the
"Cisco way", or they "didn't tell me what I needed to know to pass the
lab". All of these are fraudulent conceptions. And, maybe the reason
individuals think this way is due to the term "Bootcamp". The term has
different meanings to
different people. As an amateur tournament golfer. I have spent years
reading golf books, and I have hit hundreds of thousands of golf balls. I
studied the golf swing and
short game techniques extensively. But, there are times when I get to a
point that I need an instructor that can see the flaws that I overlook.
All the great golfers have
instructors that can sit back and watch the player's swing and short
game, and make minor corrections that the golfer is over-looking. The
instructor becomes the third
eye. This is how I also view so-called "CCIE lab bootcamps". When I
attended CyscoExpert, I had done everything I felt I could do. I was
just coming up a little short. I
was missing something in a few concepts. I needed a third eye to see
the flaws that I obviously could not see. The instructors at CyscoExpert
helped me see those
flaws. And not only did I have the advantage of having one instructor,
but six. CyscoExpert did an excellent job. The instructors were very
knowledgeable and extremely
helpful. And the labs were not designed just to learn commands, but
focused on concept details of all technologies. I look forward to
attending their Security labs in the
future.
